Institutional Strengthening
Creating an effective and efficient organisation.
The Institutional Strengthening Programme focuses on creating a more effective, efficient, and sustainable organisation that can support the long-term vision of Inuka Kenya Ni Sisi! and the Ni Sisi! Movement. By strengthening internal systems, policies, and capacities, the programme ensures that Inuka remains adaptive, accountable, and positioned for lasting impact.
Policy Review Framework
A strong policy foundation is essential for coherent operations and effective risk management. Inuka is developing a comprehensive policy review framework to guide the regular review and creation of policies covering human resources, finance, data protection, wellness, and conflict of interest. This framework ensures that all operations are grounded in accountability, transparency, and best practice.
Resource Mobilisation
Sustainability lies at the heart of Ni Sisi!. Inuka is building a diversified resource mobilisation framework that reduces dependency on donor funding while strengthening internal resilience. Through membership contributions, monetised services, crowdfunding, and social enterprise, the organisation is pursuing financial autonomy and sustainability to support its long-term mission and values.
Staff Capacity Building
Inuka recognises that its greatest resource is its people. A comprehensive capacity-building framework nurtures staff growth, enhances performance, and promotes retention. Starting with a skills audit, the organisation identifies training needs and invests in continuous learning, innovation, and leadership development to build a motivated, capable, and forward-looking team.
Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning
To ensure accountability and continuous improvement, Inuka employs a robust MEAL framework that tracks progress, measures outcomes, and supports adaptive learning. A results framework aligns all programmes with the organisation’s strategic outcomes and indicators.
