Inuka Kenya Ni Sisi! envisions its three strategic pillars as interconnected threads that weave together at the community level, strengthening one another to inspire active, informed, and engaged citizenship. Together, they create a strong foundation for citizens to take charge of their rights, responsibilities, and governance processes, driving lasting transformation from the ground up.
Transformative Leadership and Governance Pillar
To create and curate narratives that seek to transform leadership and governance to be in accord with Utu.
Leadership and governance define how a society functions. Leaders determine the allocation and use of resources to provide services, while narratives and practices are critical components. Kenya suffers from a deficit of leadership. Governance institutions and frameworks are compromised in many ways, including through capture and misalignment. An active drive for change is inevitable if human dignity for all is to be realized.
Under Transformative Leadership and Governance, Inuka will use technological tools to refocus societal narratives towards Utu. Technology has become pervasive in people’s daily lives because it is easily accessible and connects people more quickly. The spaces where change happens have been—and will continue to be—transformed by technology. Inuka must therefore remain at the forefront of adapting to and utilizing technological advances.
Technology is disruptive and revolutionary in how it provides access to knowledge, income, education, entertainment, and information. It is also a cost-effective and immediate way to engage people and create impact.
