Okoa uchumi Press Statement on State of the Nation
We, the undersigned Okoa Uchumi Coalition partners, have closely followed the statements issued by the
executive which was further amplified in the Presidential address on the State of the Nation. We agree that
indeed the price of Unga and oil has come down, however the price of other commodities including school
materials like pens and books remain significantly high. For this reason, we feel the need to present some
realities of Kenyans that still need to be addressed.
